If anyone knows me... I mean, reeeealy knows me, they'll know that I don't have the best track record with credit cards and bills.  Ever since I started trying to be independent, the more and more I found myself being dependent on my parents, especially those times when I couldn't pull through financially.  I mean, I can blame it on a few reasons: not knowing how to handle credit cards, being irresponsible, working lower-income jobs, and eventually getting trapped in this hole I dug for myself.

But today was my defining moment.

It was a big moment for me because I got my first paycheck at my first real paying (salary) job.  It's not the largest salary, but it's a step and 2 staircases up. Yeah, a lot of people splurge and get a car, or get a TV, or get an apartment.. not me. I have the privilege to pay my bills one by one and in larger chunks than I have been in the past. THEN the fun will come. 

And I am totally okay with that! It feels like it's taken soo long to get here, but I'm here, and I'm thankful I'm here.  Not many people get second chances with a lot of things in life, but I'm one of the blessed.

PS - And as I write I'm actually working for it!  Geeze, 10:48pm on only the 3rd week and I've already taken work home??  I hope this is not a sign of things to come :(
